Lera was born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia. She moved to the United States after graduating from high school in Georgia. Lera graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelors in Journalism and a minor in French. During her undergraduate years, she worked at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center. Lera was also a staff reporter for the News Record at UC and did an internship for a small local newspaper in her native Georgia.
After graduating from UC, Lera attended Salmon P. Chase College of Law. She worked full time at Children’s throughout law school, attending classes in the evening program. During law school, Lera had the privilege to work as a freelance interpreter for local courthouses and volunteered for various local law offices.
After graduating from law school in May of 2019, Lera continued working full-time for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. She also worked as a part-time Staff Attorney for the honorable Judge Kathleen Rodenberg in the Clermont County Domestic Relations Court until the judge’s retirement in December 2020. Lera joined McKinney & Namei in July 2021.
Lera is licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio and the Commonwealth of Kentucky. She enjoys practicing immigration law, child custody law, and defending clients in criminal and traffic cases throughout the greater Cincinnati area.
In her free time, Lera enjoys road trips, traveling, spending time with her family, friends, and her adorable pup, Luna. She also likes going to the gym at the end of the day and watching all kinds of movies and television.
